My Black Billionaires

Ever wondered why billionaires feel they have the world on their hands? Well, because not many in the world can afford what they have, not many in the world can do what they can.  A billionaire is one who would tell you he is lost, ask for directions and give you 1 million dollars just by telling him where to go (even if you were wrong). A billionaire is one who spends a billion today knowing he can get 2 billion tomorrow. A billionaire isn't black, a billionaire isn't white, a billionaire is a mixed race of colors, a disfigured shape of figures, a tantrum disaster of billions in your pockets.  But my black billionaires are different, they exist because they believe they are existence themselves. My black billionaires can't spend a billion dollars today, why? Because they are not assured of getting 2 billion the next day. My black billionaires!!!

Dangote:  The world's richest black man on earth. I have heard so many things about our black billionaires, but not this billionaire. 'Give the world back what the world has given to you'. It's the ritual rites for being a billionaire, and this impeccable man does so. How? I have no idea, but he says he does. Well, let's just accept that some how. My black Dangote is special, he is kind, he is lovely, he is everything the internet has written, or we were made to believe, but what is he really? Sugar, Cement and Flour!!!! A piece of black sugar, a chunk of black cement, and bitter black flour that we all use and make this black man a world renowned person. I have so much respect for this black billionaire, because he has been at the top of his game for a very long time. Swag has no purpose for this black billionaire I must say. But his black billions has some swag and has remained untouchable. All we need is a billionaire who can make it right, but then eating chocolates would be nice for a start.

Adenuga: Hmm...A black billionaire swagger. His aura smells from afar. He respects everybody (Sorry, that was a mistake) but at the same time, he carries himself with an aura that demands respect (that was totally written well) This black billionaire is so black is billions are white. He is one billionaire everybody wishes to be, he has ranged his businesses allover, from our oil to telecommunications to pride. I love this man because he knows his riches are not his, and so he gives it all, and that's why most celebrities love him, because he spends it on them woefully. He is one man who has the money and can buy things with money, which is good, but he forgets to check once in a while and make sure that he hasn't lost the things that money can't buy. I am a great fan of this black billionaire, he has this aura and enigma about him, but I will prefer to drink some tea.

Alakija: The richest black woman on earth. Well, so they said. A textile personality in the Abacha's regime. Ever wondered how someone would wander from textile into oil? Well, don't believe everything you read. This lady is a passionate tailor, not an oil baron as they say she is. She sewed a cloth for the then best Nigerian President's (he sure was the best we had)wife, Maryam Abacha, and when she wore it, Abacha was speechless and gave her an oil well as a gift. Well, this was how she made her billions, and according to her, 'her self-made billions from a well that never lacks oil'. She did pretty good being in control, which many were not able to do, and that is the respect I have for her. My black billionaire woman is so rich, that she forgets that her people doesn't suffer, she buys properties in the United Kingdom that gives the Queen some shivers, and she forgets that when one has money, think of when you had none.

Jimoh Ibrahim: The well-known talkative who made his billions in an unknown manner. He is one proud black billionaire, and because of him, Richard Branson had a thing or two to say about Nigeria. Jimoh is one of the proudest black billionaires who owes salaries, and yet fires you without paying salaries. My black billionaire once visited Covenant University to give a speech, he said, 'there is this equipment I have in my organisation, if an average man should buy it, he will remain broke for the rest of his life'. Well, the owner of the University got upset and bought two of these equipment just to shut him up. My black billionaire forgets that the company which he improves most is the one least expensive to him.

For my black billionaires, they are dogs, because outside of these billionaires, they are everyone's best friend, but inside of these billionaires, they are too dark and difficult to read. My black billionaires are impeccable, and as they will say, 'they are not afraid of death, because they have seen it all, but they forget to realize that the death they are not scared of, they never want to be there when it happens'.   A man's true wealth is the good he does in this world, and poverty is one blessing hated by all men. Money is better than poverty, only for financial reasons, and for my black billionaires, money remains only a purpose for financial reasons, because even in money, they are black poor billionaires.
