Employers' Danger

Organisations with mission and vision statements can be somewhat interesting, especially when they are never true. Organisations like Artic Spatial is one really good example. Here is there mission and vision statement. 

Mission Statement: We seek to be the leading GIS solution and Geoscience provider and infrastructure solution provider in Africa by developing relationships, drive innovation, improve operations and build connections with customers, partners and suppliers. Our Business objective is focused on planning and installing turn key Geographical information systems based infrastructure.

Vision Statement: To become the most trusted name in the Geo-informatics, enabling clients & partners to maximize their business success through our technical excellence, people brilliance and professional integrity. To help our clients maximize Return-on-investment (ROI) by advising on the best practices and methods.

What makes Artic Spatial disgusting? The organisation engages in so many geographic information system activities and does this for so many clients, with so many interesting organisations engaged in such. Sadly, they have few employees, but the CEO who happens to own the company, is also the accountant at the same time who believes paying its employees is a sin. He loves his cars, purchases them at high costs, and chooses to hoard its employee salaries not for one month, nor two months, but for more than 4 months.
